TOMATO DAL


Ingredients:-
Tur dal               -1 cup
tomatoes            -3-4 chopped
green chillies      -2 chopped
onion                   - 1 small
tamrind pulp       - 1 tbsp
red chilli powder -2 tsp
coriander leaves



For tempering
cumin seeds       -1/4 tsp
mustard seeds  -   1/4 tsp
whole red chillie-2
curry leaves 
chopped garlic   -1 tbsp
oil                       -2tbsp
  


METHOD:-
1. Wash dal and soak in water for half an hour.
2. Add tomatoes,green chillies,onions,red chilli powder,haldi,tamrind pulp to the soaked dal.
3.Pressure cook for 3-4whistles or till dal is cooked.Mash with a spoon,mix well and add salt.
4.In a pan add oil and the ingredients for tempering,add dal and simmer for few minutes.Add chopped coriander leaves and serve with rice.
