PRAWN MASALA WITH SPRING ONIONS

Ingredients

Prawns                             250gms
Onions                              2 medium size
Spring onions chopped       1/2 cup
Green chillies                       2-3
Haldi                                    1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder                  1 tsp
Salt  to taste
Ginger garlic paste                1tsp
Coriander powder                 1tsp
Tomato                                   1
Coconut paste                         1tbsp
Coriander leaves                       
Graram masala powder            1tsp
Oil                                           1tbsp


Method

1.Take finely chopped onions and chopped spring onions in a pan ,dd prawns,ginger garlic paste,Red chilli powder, haldi and salt.Mix well and add little water ,about 1/2 cup. Cover with lid and cook on medium heat ,stirring in between....till all the water dries up.
2.Add oil ,mix well ,stir fry for few minutes .Add coriander powder, chopped tomato and coconut paste.Add a cup of water ,mix well ,cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
3.Add garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves mix well and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
4.Serve hot.Tastes good with rice and also rotis


MASALA RASAM

Ingredients

Tomatoes                2 medium size
Onion                      1 smalll
Garlic                       4-5 cloves
pepper                      1tsp
Dhania powder          1tsp
Jeera-Methi powder  1tsp
Red chilli powder       1tsp
Haldi                          1/2 tsp
Salt to Taste
Tamrind                      size of one big lemon
Green chilli                   1
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Red chillies                 1
Mustard seeds            !/2 tsp
Oil                               2tsp


Method  

1.Grind tomato, onion,  green chilli, garlic haldi ,red chilli powder,pepper,dhania powder and jeera methi powder along with little water .
2.Soak tamrind in water and extract the juice.
2.Heat oil in a  pan .Add mustard seeds red chilli pieces and curry leaves.Add the masala paste and fry well till oil oozes out.
3.Add tamrind juice and salt .Bring to a boil and simmer for few minutes.Add coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
